    • This is it! Auvergne is not a major wine producer, however the vineyards of Auvergne go back more than 2000 years.  It is primarily made from black gamay grapes that produce the wine of the  region called "Côtes d'Auvergne". The five vintages bearing this label are: Madargue, Châteaugay, Chanturgue, Corent & Boudes.  Corent being a rosé, and the others are all dark ruby in color with fruity, spicy aromas. The only white in the region is from Sanit-Pourçain and the production of the white is declining.
