French at a touch.com is a directory for France, the
Outre-Mer and the French speaking countries of Belgium,
Luxembourg, Quebec [Canada] and Switzerland, but is
primarily focused on France.
In traveling to the French speaking countries and
learning their way of doing things, we decided to create
a website that would have useful information for those
of you that travel to these countries. We started
with France and expanded to include all of the countries
where French is their primary or one of their primary
languages.
We have categorized the information for you to make it
easy to navigate our site. You will find information on
travel related categories such as tours, hotels,
transportation, shopping the street markets as well as
department stores and grocery stores [super marchés].
Or locating a bookstore [in France it's called a libraire] or find an
accommodation to rent or lease in Paris, around the
French Regions whether for business, a holiday or
attending a language school.
Whatever you are looking for, just do a simple search
and you'll find the information sources that you need.

Why does a second browser sometimes open when I click on a hyperlink?
French-at-a-touch.com has been designed to open a second browser, for you, whenever you click on a hyperlink to another site. This is done because many sites cause you to end-up at a dead-end. Often, when you are stuck in a dead-end, the only way to escape the offending site is to close down your browser, often times causing you to lose your internet connection.
By opening a second browser for you, we facilitate your escape from such a site. All you have to do is click on 'X', to the right of the second browser's blue caption bar, and you are extricated from the offending site. You are returned to French-at-a-touch.com, ready to continue your exploration of the Net.

What is a hyperlink?
A hyperlink, also known as a hypertext link, can consist of one or more underlined words that are to be clicked, by your courser, to take you to a specific page on a particular web site. In effect, by clicking on a link in one document, you are immediately shown another document. Usually, the hyperlink text is in a distinguishing color. On this site, the hyperlink text is in green.

|
| |
A broken hyperlink exists whenever you click on a hyperlink and, instead of opening the desired second document [a desired second page on a specific site], your browser loads a page that indicates that the desired target page cannot be loaded.
