Abbey of Mont Saint-Michel
- the abbey is one of the
top visited monuments
in France. It is a
UNESCO
World Heritage sight unscripted in 1979. It is most
spectacular and if you feel fit to climb the hundreds of
steps to its summit, its worth it. The quaint little village
leading up to the abbey is charming with cafes and shops to
find mementos to take back home. The abbey has very
dangerous tides so don't venture out the flats without a
guide.

Bruges, Belgium
-is called the 'The Venice of the North' a beautiful medieval
city with canals wandering throughout the town, cobbled
streets like those of hundreds of years ago, will be a
perfect day get-away trip from Paris. Bruges was once
a mighty international trade center, but when the shifting
silt closed the harbor off from North Sea, over the
centuries it soon became the poorest city in Belgium.
But tourism has saved this town, its beauty and charm,
peacefulness are pluses, but so is the food and chocolate!
