Classic Marais Tour 2

Explore this beautifully preserved section of Paris with stops at the Bastille Prison, the Picasso Museum and the oldest square in Paris.

Old-world charm in modern-day Paris.

The Marais, which takes its name from its literal beginnings as a marsh, has already undergone two renaissances since its beginnings in the 12th century. The first occurred in the 16th century under King Louis XIII and the second - fortunately for us - continues today. While most of the rest of Paris was demolished under Napoleon, the Marais was able to preserve much of its and Medieval and Renaissance-style architecture.

Today, the Marais is able to give us a glimpse into 2 worlds; the Paris of old and the modern, chic Paris of today. Having long been the center of Jewish Parisian life, today the Marais is also home to some of the city's trendiest boutiques, stunningly preserved architecture, art galleries, and hip nightlife. Nowhere else in Paris can you see such a blending of old and new. Home to such diverse attractions as the Place des Vosges, the oldest, most beautiful square in all of Paris, the Hotel Carnavalet and Picasso Museum, the Marais simply cannot be missed during your visit to Paris.

Your Classic Marais Tour will give you a glimpse into all this, and more. Your takes you to same place the French Revolution was born, the Place de Bastille. It was here, at the historic Bastille prison built in 1370, that the infamous "Man in the Iron Mask" was sentenced to life in prison by Louis XIV. You'll also get to see other remnants of the French Revolution with a stop at the Colonne de Juillet, a memorial that honors the victims of that fateful July revolution. In contrast to that, your tour also includes a visit to the decidedly more modern Picasso Museum and the Centre Pompidou, the modern art structure that Parisians love to hate. Your visit to the enchanting Marais district winds down with a stop at the Yvon Lambert Gallery, home to some of the world's most cutting edge art, and a stroll down Rue des Rosiers, one of the most delightful and well preserved streets in all of the Marais.

Latin Quarter Tour 3

Sample the intellectual and bohemian district of Paris by visiting the Sorbonne, the Pantheon, and the narrowest street in the world..

Experience the intellectual heart and soul of Paris.

The 5th and 6th Arrodissements, better known as the Latin Quarter, have been the intellectual capital of France since the founding of its famed university, the Sorbonne, in 1263. The Latin Quarter's students have been has been at the heart of all the transformative movements in French history - everything from the French Revolution to the student uprising in May of 1968.

Today, the same famed cafes that such luminaries as Picasso and Hemingway frequented still line St. Germain Boulevard, and while times have changed, the essence of the Latin Quarter remains as it has always been - progressive, edgy, and lively. Bookstores, cafes, art galleries, and an ever-increasing number of international bistros make the Latin Quarter a can't-miss destination during your trip to Paris.

Your Aeon Latin Quarter Tour will show you the true Latin Quarter. From the perfectly manicured Luxembourg Gardens to the lively Mouff' street market to the arches of the Notre Dame Cathedral, none of the Quarter's storied streets will be missed. WHAT YOU'LL SEE
The Magnificent home of Louis XIV and the center of French Royalty

. . . you'll be in awe!

Palace of Versailles Tour

The Palace of Versailles is so imposing, and tour that you don't want to miss!

Versailles besides being grand beyond belief interiorly, has really elaborately designed gardens and grounds.  Louis XIV wanted the most magnificent gardens of all at that time, and he especially wanted his gardens to be more impressive then Vaux le Vicomte's lavishly beautiful gardens. So he hired the the famous landscape architect Andre Le Notre, to create the most spectacular gardens in France for him.

This is a very special tour, with many aspects to view and be in awe of.  The truly spectacular and ornately designed rooms, furnishings, and all the detailed artisan workmanship on the interior and exterior of the chateau itself.  It took many years to create this ultimate masterpiece chateau to be the epitome of all chateaux in France.

For  more information regarding this royal home you can visit the Palace of Versailles
